Arrival at Dushanbe International Airport. Our driver will meet you in the airport and accompany to the hotel. Rest and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast meeting with the guide at the hotel lobby. And start to discover with Dushanbe: Visit the Rudaki Park, Samani monument, flagpole, National Museum. Hissar fortress (VII-XVII centuries). Grand Mosque. We finish the day with a visit to the local bazaar, where you can feel the real Tajik spirit, witness the oriental art of trade and see the locals shop. Overnight at the hotel.
In the morning we will drive to Panjakent. The city of Panjakent ("five villages") is located in Sughd area of Tajikistan in a picturesque Zeravshan river valley. Quite possibly the five villages started the history of this remarkable city which originated in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Panjakent of that time was one of the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd. It was even named "Central Asian Pompeii". We will visit Rudaki museum and the archaeological site of the ruins of Old Panjakent and the Old City of Sarazm which was a popular stop on the the Silk road many centuries ago. Today for dinner you will have the famous traditional dish - “Panjakent Plov”. Overnight at the hotel.
In the morning we will drive to Khujand via pass Shahriston (3 378 m). On the way visit to the historical city of Istaravshan. Visit Mugteppa, local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Khujand It is the second largest city of Tajikistan. It is situated on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley. It is also the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan, now called Sughd. You will visit Cultural Palace of Khujand “Arbob”, Central Mosque, Sheikh Muslihedin complex, Panjshanbe Bazaar, National museum and central park. Overnight at the hotel.
Today we return to Dushanbe. On the way we will visit the high-mountain lake Iskanderkul (2,255 m above sea level). It is located in the famous Fann Mountains. This fabulous area is one of the beautiful places in Central Asia. The road to the lakes goes through the Anzob Pass (3,372 m) with stunning panoramic views. After arriving at the lake, you will walk along its beaches. This is an amazing place to relax. Also, if you wish, we can take a 40-minute hike to see the waterfall. Night at the hotel in Dushanbe.
Today we will continue a brief survey of Dushanbe: We will visit the Kokhi Navruz complex and the Istiklol architectural complex. Then you will have free time for an independent walk along the streets of Dushanbe. Night at the hotel.
